Privacy Policy

What we collect when you visit or write to us, and what we do with it.

This policy explains how Northern Blvd Food Journal (“we”, “us”) handles personal information when you read the site at www.ilovenypizzaofnorthernblvd.com or contact us. We collect as little as we can.

What we collect

When you browse

Like most websites, our web server automatically records technical information with each request: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. We use these server logs to keep the site secure and working, to block abuse and to diagnose errors. Logs are rotated daily, kept for about seven days and are not used to build profiles of individual readers.

When you contact us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write. We use it only to read and, if needed, answer your message, and we keep it for as long as needed for that purpose and then delete it, normally within 24 months.

What we don’t collect

There are no reader accounts, comments, newsletters, payments or advertising trackers on this site. We don’t sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and local storage

The public site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If you switch the units on a recipe card between US and metric, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so it’s remembered next time; it never leaves your device. Editors who sign in to manage the site receive the standard WordPress login cookies.

If we add an analytics service in the future, we will list it here, describe the cookies it uses and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent first.

Service providers

The site is hosted on a virtual server provided by Hostinger in a data center in the United Kingdom, which processes server logs on our behalf. Fonts, scripts and styles are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send your information to font or script providers. Links to other websites are not covered by this policy.

We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website, and contact-form messages on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who write to us (or to take steps you request).

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act — you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, and to receive a copy. To make a request, use the contact form. UK readers may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

The site is meant for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS, the server is kept updated and access to the editorial dashboard is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date below.
